The Natural Aspects Southern Vietnam 7 Days – 6 Nights

Tour Program:
Day 1: Arrival Saigon also known as Ho Chi Minh City
You will be welcomed by our tour guide at Tan Son Nhat Airport then you be transferred to your hotel for check in. The lunch will be at a local well known restaurant. We will have a half day city tour after lunch to visit the Reunification Hall, Old Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and followed by the chance for shopping at Ben Thanh Market.

After our tour and shopping trip, you will come back hotel in order to refresh. Our dinner session will be served on the river cruise. It will take you along Saigon River where you will enjoy your time for fresh air and see the Saigon River by night.
Transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Saigon - Vam Sat – Saigon (B/L/)
The Vam Sat ecological tourist site is located in the Can Gio District. This site represents a large territory of mangrove forest with many diverse forms of fauna. It is around 50 km from Saigon by car and will take us about one and half hour to get there.
The car will transfer you to Thao Dien – District 2 for embarking on the catamaran. There are a lot of things to see and enjoy on both sides of the Saigon River as it will take you from the busy city’s region to the remote quiet areas. Enjoy your journey while on board by sipping a fresh cup of coffee or tea that is also served with a croissant.
When walking through the small path for your sightseeing, you will pass a large grove of mangrove trees that are intermixed with water coconut trees and the wild grass which creates a special picture. When you are on the top of the ‘watch’ tower, the amazing view of the park area will be open to you. From this location, you can observe many kinds of wild birds rarely seen outside of Vietnam.
At lunch time, you and the other guests on the tour will be served a small picnic lunch on board the boat.
Many additional attractions can be visited while you are here such as the crocodile farm and the bats and crabs area where you can enjoy catching the mud crab.
The tour will end around 4: 00 PM at the Thao Dien location. The car will pick you up and take you to your hotel for refreshing before dinner. Dinner is at well known and respected local restaurant. You will spend overnight in Saigon

Day 3: Saigon – Mekong (B/L/)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to My Tho for the tour. It will take about two hours by bus from Saigon. After boarding the boat for your trip on Tien River, you will visit a number of sites to include: the Thoi Son, Long, Quy and Phung islets; then on to the Ben Tre province on the other side of Tien River. We will need to disembark the boat for a smaller rowing boat to go to a smaller branch of the river where you will see how peaceful life is. You will follow the tour guide to the small village road through the orchard with different kind of tropical trees as jackfruit and the longan. You will see plenty of coconut trees in Ben Tre area.
The tour guide also lets you see some workshops to see how people are able to brew wine from the locally grown rice, how they make the coconut candy. You will be able to taste the local honey mixed with the tea and enjoy the tropical fruits.
Later, you will travel back to My Tho where you will have lunch at a local restaurant with local regional cuisines. Arrive to Saigon around 5:00 PM.
You will spend the night in Saigon

Day 4: Cu Chi Tunnels – Saigon City Tour (B/L/)
Breakfast will be at the hotel and later in the morning, we will visit Cu Chi tunnels. These are very well known with their extensive tunnel system - more than 200km long underground with many levels. These tunnels were made during the time of Vietnamese and American war. It has become a very historic site for tourist. The guides will provide you with many original stories of how they were used.
Around 70km from Saigon, you will enjoy the scenery along the way as the rubber tree forest or view the large naturally green fields and see the daily life of people within this area.
Around 20’ drive from the tunnels, we will arrive to the Rescue station of W.A.R. ( Wildlife At Risk). That is a non profit organization who is dedicated to protecting the biodiversity of Vietnam by combating the illegal wildlife trade, raising environmental awareness and promoting the conservation of endangered species and their habitats.
You may come back Saigon or having lunch at local restaurant on the way, depend on the time.
Back to Saigon for lunch at local restaurant with a trip to visit China town, a stop at Thien Hau Pagoda, An Dong market then shopping at lacquer-ware factory.
Overnight in Saigon.

Day 5: Saigon – Nam Cat Tien (B/L/)
Breakfast at Hotel, guide and car will pick you up and transfer to Nam Cat Tien National Park, locating on a low mountainous and peneplain area of Dong Nai Province. Visit Nam Cat Tien Primeval Forest and study on thousand kinds of plants, some specious kinds as fabaceae and caesalpiniaceae. Nam Cat Tien a sunken area which represents for a special eco-system of wet forest with rich creature resource.
Your accommodation is a comfortable thatch bungalow located next by a big and beautiful stream in the forest.
After check in, relax then enjoy your lunch.
A boat trip along the Dong Nai river to view the wildlife on the riverbank. Stop at the grassland area to search for Peafowl, Jungle Fowl and birds that prefer a more open habitat.
Continue on to the Kim Lan village once a French military camped and now the main village to the one ethnic inhabitants of the park. Return to Lodge.

Overnight in Nam Cat Tien National Park

Day 6: Nam Cat Tien – Saigon (B/L/)
The song of birds will wake you up in the morning.
Enjoy the marvelous morning to see how the wildlife waking up while sipping your hot coffee or tea at a beautiful terrace.
In this afternoon you can enjoy your farm tour.
The land bordering the Park is now rich farming land growing the varieties of crops, fruits and spices. The farms are small family run business providing very modest income to the farmers. Many of products will be familiar to people but who may not be aware how they are grown and what they look like when still in natural state. Spices such as pepper, tamarind; fruits like mango, bananas, jackfruit, star fruit..
Check out around noon. Have lunch then heading back for Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City Departure(B/)
Have breakfast at hotel, then depends on your flight (you might have sometime for some shopping around) Ho Chi Minh city is a good place for go shopping. You to relax and note things. Then the drive will transfer you to Tan Son Nhat airport for taking flight back home or arrive to next destination. Good bye and see you again!
